This course examines the fundamentals of concrete placement, including the materials and processes most commonly used in today’s industry.
Attendees will learn about the consequences of improper curing and how uncontrolled moisture loss during placement can undermine performance and sustainability. The program introduces proactive strategies—using advanced nanotechnology and chemistry that is low VOC and pH neutral—to cure, finish, and mitigate issues such as curling and cracking.
Emphasis will be placed on how new nanotechnologies manage moisture loss during placement to produce more sustainable, durable concrete while reducing environmental impact and supporting long-term project success.

The Basics of Profiled, Honed & Polished Concrete Floors
This course, participants will explore the benefits of polished concrete as a versatile, economical, and sustainable flooring solution.
The course will highlight how PHP flooring improves health, safety, and welfare by eliminating off-gassing, reducing airborne contaminants, and offering long-lasting architectural value.
Through expert-led instruction, attendees will gain insight into specifying PHP systems that enhance air quality, occupant safety, and environmental responsibility while minimizing labor and downtime.

This program discusses various types of concrete repair materials that vary in duration. An innovative, moisture impermeable, concrete repair material that is permanent is also presented. We define levels of concrete failures and explore why some repair failures occur. Keys to sustainability include non-cementitious dry mix and a liquid that is not water. After proper installation, repair attributes are it will not shrink, has an extremely high strength, is easy to clean, and is waterproof. Repairs can be made on the horizontal, vertical, overhead and can be ready for pedestrian and vehicle traffic quickly. The discussion will include some short, case studies that will illustrate some of the failure problems and some solutions.
